Early this year, in a contested nomination and before a packed house of Liberal supporters, I was declared the Alberta Liberal candidate for Calgary-North Hill. A 12-year resident of Calgary-North Hill, I’m proud to have earned the opportunity to run in the next election for the privilege of representing the diverse interests of residents in this riding and Albertans as a whole.
I’m a 44-year-old small business owner specializing in sanitation, wastewater and environmental remediation. I don’t believe “profit is a dirty word,” but I do believe it’s essential that a balance be struck between industry and the environment, social responsibility and economic sustainability to ensure all Albertans benefit from the “Alberta Advantage.”
The current government’s lack of vision and ad hoc planning has resulted in health care turmoil, growing seniors poverty, crumbling public schools, environmental mismanagement, roads in disrepair, and the rapidly increasing cost of living.
That’s a Conservative Alberta, not my Alberta. My Alberta is about equality and the common good.
I believe in public health care; public education; seniors benefits; a healthy environment with protected regions and protected wildlife; safe infrastructure; democratic renewal, including fixed election dates and a lobby registry; affordable housing and child / day care; and open fiscal management that doesn’t allow for the loss of billions of tax payers’ dollars as has happened with the PC government.
I have vision; the Alberta Liberals have a plan.
When the next provincial election is called, I invite you to plan for a brighter future; plan to vote Pat Murray.
Together we can make a difference.
Sincerely,
As the owner of a successful small business, Pat believes in hard work and doing whatever it takes to "make things happen." From an early career playing and coaching professional hockey in Europe to working for some of the most recognized names in big business, including Rollerblade Inc., and being a former Executive Assistant to a Federal Cabinet Minister, Pat’s diverse personal and professional background enables him to empathize and communicate with people from all walks of life.

Bribing voters with their own money is politics at its worst. For years the Klein-Stelmach Tories didn't have a plan, and now Premier Stelmach is racing around acting like he's Bob Barker of The Price is Right.
The Alberta Liberals have a real plan for Albertans. We're not going to wing it on the fly.
Alberta government pre-election spending spree tops $1.2 billion.
Tory pledges to cost $812 million.
Oil industry clout the background issue in the upcoming election.
He listens carefully and takes the issues seriously. He has been knocking on thousands of doors in North Hill because
he really wants to represent you in the Legislature. He is a communicator, and his understanding of and passion for people and issues is exactly what will make him an excellent MLA. Please send Pat to Edmonton - we need him.- Kevin Taft
